Scout Troop 51 gave back to the Methuen Housing Authority by donating picnic tables and benches for the residents at the Mystic Street location. Several of the residents are elderly or disabled, and this allows them to enjoy the outdoors more comfortably during the good weather.
The Scouts, along with help from their Scout Masters and troop leaders, assembled the tables and benches and placed them throughout the area.
Any child ages 6-18 interested in joining Scouting America Boy (and Girls) Scout Troop 51 can contact Bill Cocoran at corcoranbillysr@gmail.com. The Scouts meet Tuesdays from 7-8:30pm at VFW Post 8349 on River Street.

Shown with the picnic tables and benches they assembled and donated to the Methuen Housing Authority are (front, from left) Senior Patrol leader Aleesiya Permatteo, Scouts Vincent Libby and Natasha Libby; (middle row, from left) Scoutmaster Bill Corcoran, Assistant Scoutmaster Frank Permatteo and Assistant Scoutmaster Mike Hemond; (back row, from left) Adult Leaders Ben Herbst, Andy Libby and Tim Demers, and Assistant Scoutmaster Tom Gregg.
