Methuen VFW Post 8349 held its annual essay scholarship awards ceremony last month. The Patriot Pen award, open to sixth- to eighth-graders, was presented to three Marsh Grammar School students. This year’s theme was “My Voice in America’s Democracy.” The Voice of Democracy contest, open to high schoolers, had the theme “Is America Today Our Forefathers’ Vision?” Essay winner was Owen Hart, a junior at North Andover High School.
