This month’s item is a poster advertising a Musical Revue and Ball, which I purchased at a local yard sale about 20-plus years ago.

Unfortunately, the date of the event does not include the year, but I think it would have been in the 1960s. The poster material is pretty thick and the poster itself measures 13 inches by 20.5 inches. I couldn’t find anything online about Consentino’s Banjo Band or Russ Holland and his Orchestra. The Central Grammar School has a pretty large hall, so I am not surprised that an event of this size took place at that location in the past.

Joseph G. Bella is vice president/historian of the Methuen Historical Society and has an extensive collection of local memorabilia.
