Methuen’s Veterans Day Parade steps off at 10am on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from American Legion Post 122 and heads north on Broadway, left at the clock tower onto Hampshire Street, left onto Lowell Street past the Central Fire Station, left on Grove Street and stops at the Legion Memorial plot in Walnut Grove Cemetery for a brief ceremony. After the ceremony, the parade will re-form and return to the Legion post via the same route.

Band to perform
The Veterans Den Band will perform patriotic and other moving music Sunday, Nov. 9, 2:30-4pm at the Methuen Senior Center at 77 Lowell St. All are welcome.
Free breakfasts
in honor of vets
*City Council President Ron Marsan is sponsoring his 16th annual free breakfast for veterans Nov. 11, 6-11:30am at Country Kitchen, 18 Hampshire St. Enjoy two eggs, toast, home fries and coffee.
*Cataudella Funeral Home is sponsoring a free breakfast for veterans Nov. 17, 7-11am at Al’s Family Diner, 500 Merrimack St. No need to register – just show up with your military ID.
Free golf
for veterans
Merrimack Golf Course and the Kattar family will again thank veterans for their service by offering them a free round of golf on Veterans Day – Tuesday, Nov. 11. The course is located at 210 Howe St.

*Veterans Department Office Hours: Nov. 20, 10am-noon at Methuen Senior Center.
*Flag Retirement Ceremony: Dec. 5, 11am at Elmwood Cemetery. Old and worm flags can be dropped off prior to the event at City Hall or at Mann Orchards.
*Veterans Breakfast: Dec. 10, 9-11am at Methuen Senior Center.
*Army/Navy Game Watch: Dec. 13, 2-7pm at VFW (tentative location).
*Veterans Holiday Luncheon and Expo: Dec. 17, 11:30am-2:30pm at the Methuen Senior Center. Many area agencies will be available with info regarding benefits. Register by calling (978) 983-8825.
