We hope you all have a wonderful summer enjoying family and friends! Summer after all is about walking along shorelines, taking in the sun’s rays, barbecues, parties and, most of all after the pandemic, getting back to living our lives.

Here at the Methuen Senior Activity Center, we have events planned for these next couple of months. We are a place where you can come to make new friendships and rekindle old ones. We also have air conditioning on those hot days. You can come to relax, eat lunch and cool down. We are your home away from home.
As you read this article, you will see all that is being offered at your Senior Activity Center.

Need assistance?
Call the Methuen Senior Activity Center and we can put you in touch with a volunteer who will assist you with the paperwork needed to apply for SNAP benefits. We are here to help you place nutritional meals on your table.

Every day we are getting word on new scams and old ones rearing their heads back. The Senior Center staff wants to remind you: NEVER give out personal information! This includes birthdates, Social Security numbers, address, etc. This is personal information about you!

Also, if you think you are a victim of a possible scam, contact the Methuen Police Department or contact us here at the center and we will get an officer to come to speak to you. Methuen Police Department is on your side and will assist where needed.
On Wednesday, July 12 at 1pm, enjoy ice cream while learning to protect yourself, your family, neighbors and friends. The BINGO game will be focused on current scams and frauds to be aware of, and other general tips and tricks to help keep you safe. SPACE IS LIMITED.
