This year’s Fall Festival at Greycourt Park appeared to be a TREAT for everyone, thanks to the popular city event landing on a spectacularly warm fall day!

Rec Director Steve Angelo, who oversees the day, said, “I’m sure we had close to 500 people come throughout the afternoon. Everyone worked hard to make sure this year’s Fall Festival was a hit.”

The Methuen Exchange Club cooked hot dogs for the crowd. Ron and Dianne Marsan passed out hot apple crisp, popcorn and apple cider while the Mayor’s Office along with the Recreation Departments passed out treat bags filled with plenty of goodies for the children.

Mike Phillips from American Entertainment Services provided the DJ services as well as jumbo-size games. Children had a great time dancing along with the “Minions” and playing a game of Limbo with Mike and his crew.

Methuen Police and Fire departments were present with treats and plenty of giveaways, while the Methuen Rail Trail also passed out candy and had daffodil bulbs for sale to benefit the trail.

The afternoon ended with the popular costume parade.

Winners were:

Family category: first place, Alice in Wonderland; second, Beekeeper Family; third, Popeye and Olive Oil.

Six-and-under category: first place, Vampire Girl; second place, Blue Monster; third place, Scarecrow.

Seven-and-up category: first place, Pokemon; second place, Clown; third place, Piglet.

Winners were awarded gift cards to Mann Orchards.
