Mayor David “DJ” Beauregard Jr., and Methuen Recreation Director Steve Angelo greeted hundreds of children and their parents who attended Recreation Department’s annual Easter Egg Hunt at Greycourt Park.
The children happily ran with their baskets to scoop up their share of over 1,000 candy-filled eggs scattered on the grounds. The Easter Bunny made an appearance and greeted as many children as he could. DJ Mike Phillips, of American Entertainment, played fun-filled Easter music for the event. Methuen Police and Fire were also on hand to greet the children and let them climb onto a fire truck and police car.
Rec Director Angelo said, “This is one of my favorite events, watching all the kids have a great time gathering up eggs. I try to make Methuen a better place every day, with my team and the help we receive from our DPW, by doing these family events.”

Children, separated in 2 groups by age, ran around Greycourt to grab as many eggs as they could while their parents watched.
Genesis Finley, 4-year-old Robert Cole, mom Tory Cole holding daughter Aubree Cole, 2, Jaxson Finley, 4, and Aaliegh Adames, 7, were excited to see the Easter Bunny and ready to gather eggs.
