Hundreds of children and their grown-ups braved the wind and cold to enjoy Easter fun at Grey Court Park, courtesy of the Recreation Department. Rec Director Steve Angelo and department secretary Cory Wheeler, along with several volunteers, set up lawn games like cornhole and life-size Connect Four for families to play. Then the super-fast fun began! Kids split into 2 groups, by age, and took off across the park to collect scattered candy as well as plastic eggs filled with candy and small toys. Children age 5 and under were accompanied by their parent as they ran to the center of the park, while the older children ran down the hill on the other side of the park scooping up all they could fit in their baskets. The children were all smiles as the Easter Bunny strolled around the park greeting them and posing for pictures. Here, the younger kids gather around the Easter Bunny after having a fun time hunting for eggs. MethuenLife photo by Nancy Readon
