Local farmers markets offer everything from locally grown foods and sweet treats to one-of-a-kind crafts and free music.
Here’s a sampling of area markets:
*Methuen Farmers Market: Fridays, June 12-October, 10am-4pm at Nevins Library. Organized by Groundwork Lawrence. Accepted payments are cash, debit, credit, EBT/SNAP/HIP, WIC, senior coupons and Groundwork Lawrence coupons.
*Haverhill Farmers Market: Saturdays, June 20-October from 9am-1pm at Bradford Common, 10 Church St.
*Salem, NH Farmers Market: Sundays, May-October from 10am-2pm at The Mall at Rockingham Park, adjacent to Dick’s House of Sport. Year-round, but moves inside starting in fall.
*Lawrence Farmers Markets: Wednesdays, starting June 10, 10am-5pm at Campagnone North Common across from the Center at 155 Haverhill St., and Saturdays, 10am-5pm at O’Connell South Common across from Pronto Pizza, 65 S. Union St. Through end of October. Organized by Groundwork Lawrence.
*Andover Farmers Market: Saturdays, 9am-1pm from June 20-October at 34 Bartlet St., next to The Park in downtown.
*North Andover Farmers Market: Sundays, June 21 to October from 10am-1pm behind Town Hall at 120 Main St.
*Downtown Lowell Farmers Market: Sundays, 11am-2pm at The Hive Public Market, 101 Paige St.
*Derry Homegrown Farm & Artisan Market: Wednesdays, June 3 to Sept. 30 from 3-7pm at 1 W. Broadway, Derry, N.H.
*Tewksbury Community Market: Thursdays, starting June 25 from 4-7pm at Livingston Street Park, 288 Livingston St. Runs 16 weeks.
