The Methuen High JROTC recently held its Pass-In-Review, a formal, time-honored ceremony that dates to before the Civil War honoring cadets’ hard work and dedication. At the event, the Senior Battalion Commander steps down and a new Battalion Commander takes charge. Here, Lt. Col. O’Flaherty passes along the JROTC flag to Eleanor Murphy from outgoing Battalion Commander Nathaniel Hashem, while Command Sgt. Major Alexa Schaal stands by. Methuen High’s JROTC has been in existence since 1994. MethuenLife photo by Nancy Reardon
