‘Dalmatian’ show was spot-on adorable!

They woofed and howled – and sang and danced!

About 40 5- to –11-year-olds put their acting chops on display in “101 Dalmatians Kids” during four shows at Center for the Performing Arts in Methuen last month.

This Youth Ensemble had been working on the show since September – practicing a mere one hour a week – and now was their time to shine!

During MethuenLife’s visit, the kids were SO excited to practice in costume for the first time.

Director Emily Salvi reminded them: No eating or drinking (except water) while in costume and that costumes STAY at the theater. She encouraged them to do their best at rehearsal, and recognize where they need to practice with the BIG SHOWS just a week away!

Performers (who live as close as Methuen and as far as Londonderry, N.H.) zipped across the theater, knowing their marks and singing with gusto!

Next up: The studio’s older students perform Roald Dah’s “Matila” in March.
