SKATE! SKATE! SKATE!
Now let’s go really, really FAST!
The Recreation Department, in coordination with the Methuen Police Department, held a Skate with a Cop Day during Methuen Public Schools’ winter break. Recreation Director Steve Angelo estimated 200 people attended the event.
Held at the Methuen High School ice rink, children and their parents took to the ice with several police officers for two hours of skating. Community Policing Sgt. Kevin Dzioba was joined by Officers Mark Aiello, Brandon LaFlamme, Matt Tarness and Billy Kannan, and Lt. Eric Ferrera.
Dzioba said, “This was a wonderful community event and we may think about doing it again during spring vacation.”
