In mid-July, The Loop was packed with an estimated 6,000 people celebrating Independence Day with plenty to do!

Music was a big part of the day. The entertainment started with The Veterans Den Band followed by DJ Mike of American Entertainment.

The final band was the large, loud and oh-so-popular B Street Bombers.

Running the Kids Corner in the parking lot of Margarita’s was American Entertainment, providing blow-up games like a batting cage and axe-throwing, plus face-painting and a 360 Video booth. On hand to greet fans were masked characters Captain America and Wonder Woman while – on stilts – was “Gina Fiona Fireworks” from Big Smiles Entertainment.

Plenty of food trucks kept bellies full with items like rice balls and crispellis, fried dough, empanadas, sausage sandwiches and – of course – ice cream.

Children were able to climb into a Methuen fire truck while Methuen police were on foot and on bikes, greeting kids and passing out goodies.

The big finale was the amazing fireworks display that went off while themed music played along.
