Jack Edwards, the 19-year play-by-play announcer for the Boston Bruins on NESN, made a pit stop at the Methuen VFW last month. He signed autographs, met fans and chat all things hockey! Edwards retired at the end of this Bruins season following two years of a noticeable slowing of his speech. While Edwards has publicly denied any health problem, he agreed to step away from the job he loved stating he was “no longer able to attain the standards I set for myself, to honor the fans, the players, the Bruins organization and NESN with the best they all deserve.” ML photo by Nancy Reardon
