I want to take this time to thank all of you for the well wishes whether by card, phone or text. Your prayers helped me through my medical ordeal. I am pleased to say I am back in my seat at the center. I am looking forward to assisting our community in all ways possible. I love this city that I call home!

A PATH toward
mental-health help
The PATH Methuen Community Response Team is excited to begin holding office hours at the Methuen Senior Activity Center! The PATH program is a collaboration between the City of Methuen and Front Line Community
Services. PATH provides access to mental-health services and short-term therapy.
The Community Response team will be hosting office hours at
the Methuen Senior Activity Center Tuesday, noon-3pm and Wednesdays, 9-11am for anyone who has questions regarding mental health, is seeking access to resources or just wants to chat.

GemsTones Band
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with the GemsTones on May 5, 1-3pm. Get ready for an afternoon filled with festive fun as the GemsTones bring their upbeat music and irresistible energy to our Cinco de Mayo celebration. Come dance, mingle, and enjoy a tasty snack of salsa and chips inspired by the vibrant flavors and cultural traditions of Mexican heritage.

Senior Prom
The Methuen Senior Activity Center’s Adopt‑a‑Grandparent program will host its annual Senior Prom on May 6 from 2:30-4pm.
Participating students from Methuen High School will join our seniors for an afternoon of music, laughter and connection. Come dressed in your best attire and enjoy this joyful multigenerational celebration. This year’s theme is “A Masquerade.” Colors are red, silver and gold.
The Adopt‑a‑Grandparent program pairs Methuen seniors with local students to foster meaningful friendships across generations. Seniors enjoy companionship, renewed sense of purpose, and the chance to share stories and wisdom. Students gain valuable life experience, mentorship and a deeper appreciation for community engagement. Together, these relationships help reduce loneliness, build empathy, and strengthen community ties. We invite our seniors to join in the festivities and experience the heart-warming impact of this program.
