First Baptist Church was jumping and jiving Oct. 18 during the Unity in the Community gospel concert: from the jingling, rattling and shaking of the tambourine, the twang of the guitar, the smooth sound of the saxophone, and sweet and rich sound of the piano.
The vocals were just as exceptional with performances from Lura Smith, The Choral Majority Gospel Choir and members of Abullam Church, a Hispanic congregation which meets at First Baptist.
