Fall Festival flooded with costume creativity!

Goblins, witches, ghosts, Wednesday Adams, a horse family, Toy Story family and so many more costumed folks of all ages gathered at Greycourt Park on a beautiful afternoon for Methuen’s annual Fall Festival.
“It was such a great turnout!” said Recreation Director Steve Angelo. “There must be close to 500 adults and children here today. We had 250 goodie bags filled with candy, cookies, bubbles and stickers for the kids and passed all of them out.”
Mayor DJ Beauregard was pleased with the event saying, “It was a great day for the Fall Festival. I’m deeply grateful for our Recreation Director Steve Angelo and his team for all the outstanding effort they put into putting this all together. I also want to thank Mike Phillips of American Entertainment and his staff for providing the music, costumed characters and the huge blow-up games. This was a wonderful event.”
The Methuen Exchange Club passed out hot dogs and water; Pitter Patter Academy gave out popcorn and apple juice; and Marsan Construction had plenty of apple crisp and hot cider on hand. The Rail Trail Alliance gave out candy to the children, while Police Department members passed out sticker badges and invited kids to sit in an antique police vehicle. The Fire Departments helped children climb into a fire truck and passed out fire hats.
The festival was complete with music, dancing and a costume parade with three top winners from three age groups including a family category.

“Bumburun” the clown presents Avery Hibbard, 7, with a balloon dog that he made for her.

Twin cupcakes Cassie and Gabby Morasse, 4, strolled around the center with their mom Jennifer for the costume parade. Both girls won in their age group.

Future Police Officer Gideon Ogando, 5, was thrilled to show his costume to Methuen Police Officer Joel Henriquez. Gideon hopes to one day become a policeman.

“Minnie Mouse” Kamila, 2, and her brother Julian, 5, aka “Buzz Lightyear,” dance to music by DJ Mike of American Entertainment.

Recreation Director Steve Angelo took a moment to hang around with the “Fall Guy” Braedyn Morey, 9, and a big chicken, Konner Morey, 12, who were both a big hit at the festival.
