The Methuen Republican Town Committee (MRTC) proudly presented its second annual Greg L’Heureux Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500 to Anthony Tarquinio.
Anthony, a graduate of Central Catholic High School, will continue his education this fall at Merrimack College.
The scholarship was presented by Barbara L’Heureux, widow of Greg L’Heureux and longtime secretary of the MRTC. Also in attendance were Anthony’s parents, Stephen and Jennifer Tarquinio of Methuen, along with members of the MRTC.
In presenting the award, Mrs. L’Heureux expressed her pride in honoring Greg’s memory while also supporting the academic goals of a deserving student.
“We are honored to keep Greg’s legacy alive through this scholarship,” said Mrs. L’Heureux. “It is deeply meaningful to help students like Anthony pursue their education while celebrating Greg’s lifelong commitment to community service.”
