The inaugural Devin Melia Golf Tournament was held July 21 at Merrimack Valley Golf Course. The Melia family would like to thank everyone who participated by golfing, volunteering, sponsoring or donating money/items to make this event a huge success. Thirty-five foursomes hit the links under bright, breezy skies. Thanks to everyone’s generosity and support, the event raised $22,000 for the Devin Melia Memorial Fund.

First-place winners of the inaugural Devin Melia Memorial Golf Tournament were Cam Hutchings, Ed Araujo, Steve Sharrock and Derek Hutchings.
A lifelong athlete, Devin (MHS Class of 2019) proudly wore #13 and was a Methuen High varsity baseball captain. This money raised during the tournament will help support the Methuen High School baseball team and also fund a scholarship for a deserving senior. This past year the Melia family, through Devin’s fund, sent the baseball team to Cooperstown and gave out a $1,000 scholarship to Nicholas Andreottola who will be attending Stonehill College this year.
