Thousands of people strolled through The Loop to celebrate the Fourth of July, taking in all that was there to offer.
In addition to a variety of food trucks surrounding the area, free children’s games were available along with face painting and balloon animals which were set up at the former Margarita’s parking lot. Fire trucks and police vehicles kept the little ones busy as they climbed into them, pretending to be a first responder. Each department passed out souvenirs to the children.
The Veterans Den Band, Gigi and the Gravity Men, and the B Street Bombers each played several songs that kept the crowd on their feet dancing.
As the fireworks began, an estimated 10,000 people viewed the amazing pyrotechnics from the parking lots at The Loop, Home Depot, Walmart, Market Basket and Mann Orchards.
Thanks to the Rec Department and City of Methuen for putting on a fantastic event!
