*Faz Café: Methuen resident Faisal Bazarto, who previously owned the hugely popular Bueno Bistro in North Andover, is bringing “something fancy and healthy,” he tells MethuenLife. His new café on Merrimack Street, in the former Fusion House location, could be open in mid- to late-July.
*El Potro Mexican Grill and Bar: Methuen’s Interiano family is expanding their authentic culinary and cultural endeavor to their hometown! This is their fifth location, and will offer nearly 200 seats plus an outdoor patio area. A mid-July opening is the goal.
*STAIRWAY to Past, Present and Future Collectables: Aiming for a July 1 opening at 230 Pleasant St. (former Chang’s Taekwondo space). Sports memorabilia, celebrity items and autographs, vintage T-shirts and more. Owned by Methuen’s Glenn Gagnon, who’s been selling online for years as Glenn’s Stadium Heroes (featured in MethuenLife in July 2019.)
*CMC North America, a leading provider of sales, distribution, and services for aerial work platforms and related products throughout North America, is opening in Methuen. “The company will consolidate its Wilmington and Devens operations into an expanded headquarters at 200 Danton Drive, bringing jobs, investment, and new economic activity to our city,” Mayor DJ Beauregard announced. The full-building space – all 70,872 square feet on 11.9 acres – will serve as CMC North America’s new headquarters, consolidating two industrial and office locations. “We now have the space to expand inventory, improve service to customers and grow sales,” said Jeff Poggi, CEO of CMC North America.
NEW OWNERS
*Muddy Waters Pub & Restaurant: Original owners Ed and Stacy Hughes are retiring after 14 years on Riverside Drive. “We hope that as we turn over the keys to the new owners, Billy and John, you will support them as you have us,” they posted on Facebook last month. “We are leaving Muddy in great hands. We wish them all the best.”
