Happy St. Patrick’s Day! May the luck of the Irish be smiling upon you not only today, but always! As this month unfolds, I have started a new position at the Senior Center: interim director.

I would like to take this opportunity to speak about a very special woman who was our director and left Feb. 14 for a new position. I can’t say enough about Ashley Shaheen. Her wit, her heart, her drive to make the Senior Center the best it could ever possibly be was astounding. Her enthusiasm and laugh are contagious. She has left a mark of greatness, just as her predecessors Corinne LaCharite Johnson and Linda Sheehan.

Thank you, Ashley, for the smiles, laughs, learning curves and friendship that you have left us. We wish you nothing but luck in future endeavors. Remember, Methuen will always be your home away from home!
