It seems like we just wished everyone a “happy summer” and here we are facing the month of August. I tell people all the time that summer is a very short window of opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors with those we love.

Farmers Market coupons will be given out at the Methuen Senior Activity Center on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 8:30am. It will be first-come, first-serve. Please bring your ID with you. One coupon book per household.

The Methuen Senior Activity is gearing up for another fabulous year!
Enrichment classes offered include Painting, Quilting and Ceramics.
Exercise classes are Aeroflex with weights; Gentle Yoga; Cardio Aerobics with weights; Line Dancing; Tai Chi & Qigong; Balance, Bones and Brains; ZUMBA and Yoga. Stop by the center and get your copy of the newsletter for times classes are offered.
Do you like 45s? Want to learn to play this Merrimack Valley card game? On Tuesdays, 1-3pm, join Ken Ackroyd for the basics. After learning, you can put your knowledge to work with the 45’s tournaments that are held bi-monthly.
We also offer Kindness Rocks painting, BINGO, Card Making & Scrapbooking, Coloring, Coffee and Conversation.
Do you like to sing? The Happy Hearts Chorus is a 40-member group that sings at city events, nursing homes, assisted-living programs, veterans homes, Methuen Music Hall and the Methuen Senior Activity Center. We rehearse Thursdays, 1-3pm.
How about karaoke? Don Riccio hosts karaoke monthly! If you like to sing, grab the mic and become a star!
