Two 9-year-old Methuen girls recently competed at an international dance competition in De Panne, Belgium, making history as the youngest from their dance studio selected to take their talent outside of the U.S. Aria Pesce (holding trophy) and Brynley McClellan (with certificate) were part of Team USA of the American Dance Company, representing Nancy Chippendale’s Dance Studios of North Andover, at the IDO World Jazz Championships. Over 1,900 dancers from 28 countries competed. Aria and Brynley’s junior formation took fourth place overall. Their small group of dancers made the semi-finals and placed ninth. In addition to the competition, the girls enjoyed exploring Belgium – festively decorated for the holidays – with their fellow dancers and families
