The Exchange Club of Methuen held their 20th annual Original Taste of Methuen at the Lawrence Elks Lodge last month.
All 325 tickets for the fund-raiser were sold. Guests came ready to indulge in everything from roast beef, pasta and Irish Stew to smoked BBQ pork, grape leaves, apple crisp, Mexican fare and much more.
This event is the biggest for the Exchange Club which raises money for scholarships and supports several local organizations like Methuen Arlington Neighborhood, St. Ann’s Home Backpack Program, Neighbors in Need and more. The club also awards Police and Firefighters of the Year awards. The Methuen Exchange Club prides itself on supporting the local community.
Eighteen establishments participated in the three-hour food fest: Casa Blanca, Claddagh Pub, George’s Bakery, Greater Lawrence Technical School’s Culinary Department, Harrow’s Chicken Pies, Heavn’ly Donuts, Irish Cottage, Jay Gee’s, Jersey Mike’s, Kerry’s Catering, Mann Orchards, Mi Mexico Lindo, Muddy Waters, Olive Garden, Quality Catering, Royal House of Pizza and Roast Beef, The Smoke Shop BBQ and Texas Roadhouse. Every restaurant that participated came out on top with rave reviews from guests!
